Hi there! My name is Grace, I'm 23 years old and I've been nannying part and full time for 4 years and I very much enjoy it. To give you a little more background on myself and my experience - I'm a Certified Personal Trainer and I am Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certified. I have previously worked at a standard daycare and Gold's Gym Kid's Club. As well as in home babysitting from 15 years old to current. I've nannied part time for 2 boys 6 and 8. Also nannied full-time for a baby from 2 months to 16 months. I have experience with infants, toddlers and older preteen/teen kids. I truly have an authentic love for children. I'm a multi-tasker and I make sure that everything I do is thorough and sufficient. I'm comfortable with running errand and doing housework. I'd like to think I'm a pretty easy going and fun babysitter while maintaining an authoritative figure while the parents are not present.
- Promotion of the time-out technique for dealing with inappropriate behaviour (p173). I've worked with enough children in my career and read enough literature on child behaviour and development to know that time-out is an ineffective, overused and misunderstood tool that adults resort to when they have no clue otherwise how to deal with their child's actions (thank you Super Nanny). In many cases it's the parents who need time out from the situation to cool down and gather their composure. I'm not about to tell anyone how to parent, but I will say that when a child is sent to time-out to 'think about their behaviour', you can be guaranteed they're thinking of anything BUT that.
​​"Miss Laura's" has been a wonderful second home for my daughter Helena.  Helena was undergoing a rough transition this year, it being the first year she was to be cared for without big sis right by her side.  Laura has made her home feel like a second home for Helena, and she makes nutrition important for the kids which I really like.  She also follows whatever requests nutritionally that I have, and she is super careful.  Helena's big sis has a severe peanut allergy, so Laura makes sure Helena never eats peanuts because she doesn't want to risk a problem when the two girls play in the afternoon.  And I Didn't even have to ask her to do that!! That's great!  Helena is really transitioning well and I think that is because of how Laura is helping it to feel like another home. My older daughter even constantly wants to stay with"Miss Laura." - Laura
I am a caregiver and excited to open my home for your child. I have three children of my own, one in college, one in elementary school and a toddler, so I am very experienced with all age groups. We follow a routine that includes preschool age appropriate activities in the morning. I enjoy reading time at the library and highly encourage supervised outdoor play in my fenced backyard. I lead an active healthy lifestyle. That includes a balanced diet for the children I care for. I am a mature, patient caregiver.

I have raised four children and was blessed to be a stay-at-home mother, home-schooled all four through 8th grade. My youngest is in high school and the other three attend college and/or have professional jobs. I thoroughly enjoy working with children in developing cognitive skills and/or loving precious babies. I took care of my parents until their death four years ago. My husband and I have been happily married for 26 years, attend church weekly, and live in Saddle Rock Ranches. Your government contends that these changes are necessary because they will “increase access”. To the contrary, analyses by public entities and community service providers show that “new” infant rooms with a younger, narrower age range at a very high fee will close and that there will be severe financial and practical effects that affect service viability across age groups.
We are Ontario parents, educators, service providers, academics and community members. We are very concerned about some of the regulatory changes your government has proposed for child care centres. We are especially troubled by the changes to age group composition that will have the effect of reducing staff: child ratios and increasing group sizes.

We are a smoke-free home and have a friendly Shih tzu dog who has been a part of our family since before my 1st son was born. I have 16 years of child care experience and have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I have open availability during the week and am also available on nights and weekends too! I am very flexible when it comes to drop off and pick up times. I am a stay at home mom of three children ages 3-9. I live near Hampden and Tower in Aurora. I am able to offer you and your spouse the best date night ever. I will watch your kids in my house and give your children their own bed to sleep in. So this way you can actually have time with each other without curfew. I am available to watch your family during the week. We go on adventures, it could be the zoo, skating, painting, who knows. I do all this out of my home. If you have a child residing in your home whose non-custodial parent is not providing child support, you will be required to cooperate with Arapahoe County’s Community and Child Support Services Division in order to qualify for CCAP. Cooperation is required for all children in the household with an absent parent who are in need of child care services. The division will provide any necessary services to establish, modify or enforce a child support or medical support order. Child care assistance will be denied or terminated for all children in the home if a family fails to cooperate without good cause.
Each family can choose a child care provider that best meets their needs. CCAP will pay the provider directly for times when the parent is at the approved activity. Arapahoe County Department of Human Services will conduct background checks on providers. Parents can conduct online child care searches by visiting Colorado Shines or call the Colorado Shines Child Care Referral Line at 877-338-2273. You can check into any licensing history for licensed or registered providers.
