I offer care in a warm, family home environment with lots of playtime, story time and age appropriate activities. Your child will thrive learning new things with other children. I have been a licensed daycare provider for over 17 years. I am CPR and first aid certified. I accept children from newborn to school age. I provide breakfast lunch and an afternoon snack. I have a large backyard for children to play in when the weather is permitting. I also provide excellent references.
Our parents have confidence each day that their child is being taken care of in a loving and respectful environment. We extend the offer to all families to come visit us and see why Children's Playland in Aurora is the perfect home away from home. We know that choosing care for your little one(s) is an important decision and greatly affects the life of your child and your family. We pride ourselves on our warm and loving teachers, phenomenal curriculums and the simple extras that make bringing your child to day care an easy and stress free event.
I am a caregiver and excited to open my home for your child. I have three children of my own, one in college, one in elementary school and a toddler, so I am very experienced with all age groups. We follow a routine that includes preschool age appropriate activities in the morning. I enjoy reading time at the library and highly encourage supervised outdoor play in my fenced backyard. I lead an active healthy lifestyle. That includes a balanced diet for the children I care for. I am a mature, patient caregiver.
- A suggestion that it is not necessary to consume large amounts of water before and during pregnancy (p35). Apparently, the best way to hydrate your body is to 'consume plenty of healthy fats, because fats provide the most energy on the cellular level - much more than carbohydrates and proteins, and the by product of this energy is water'. I don't know enough about this matter to comment further at this stage, but I find it strange that drinking water would be discouraged.
My name is Kara Downing but now days I go by Miss Kara. I grew up in south eastern Colorado on a 2500 acre farm with my brother and sister. I was the youngest sibling and always wanted a younger brother or sister. As a young child I was always helping take care of my younger cousins and I loved babysitting. My grandma was an elementary teacher and I remember going to help in her classroom and the idea of teaching seemed like so much fun. I believe all of these factors helped my find my passion with working with children.
